The session was titled Injection Drug-Use Associated Infections: updates and models of care. The objectives of the session are 1. There are infections associated with injection drug use.

  2. Understand evidence-based strategies to prevent IDU-associated infections.

Damage Control in Post 2017 Pain Policy is the title of the session. It was presented by Dr. Norris. The objectives of the session are 1. The CDC Opioid Prescribing Guidelines have been reviewed.

Dr. Merideth has been in Maine for 15 years. Substance use disorder, obesity, and pain management are included in her practice scope. She has worked in emergency departments all over Maine. Dr. Norris has a private practice and is the Medical Director of Enso Recovery. The American Board of Obesity Medicine, the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and the American Board of Family Medicine have certified Dr. Norris as a board certified doctor.

She drafts large amounts of testimony to the state legislation on opiate policy and treatment access and is frequently seen in the press advocating for available resources for people with substance use disorder. She has appeared on local public radio and the national Reelz network as an addiction expert. The medical consultant for Susan Elia Mac Neal, author of theMaggie Hope detective series, became certified as a Ringside Physician by USA Boxing. The doctor has three children.
